This is why...

This is why my heart breaks for these children. This is why I am passionate about our own adoption. We are saving lives!  It just shouldn't be this way....  PLEASE PRAY!!! God hears and answers our prayers!

Little Victoria just arrived in the US last Friday and went straight to the hospital for severe malnutrition and dehydration. She's so dehydrated that even after IV fluids, she didn't have a wet diaper for over 24 hrs! She needs our prayers for healing. Her family's blog is HERE to read more about their story or follow updates on Victoria's progress.

Please pray for her and for her family. She will likely be in the hospital for an extended time. We would like to help her mom and family. If you know anyone in the Atlanta area that might be able to help with meals, childcare, or even taking a shift to help sit with Victoria so mom can spend some time with her other kids, please share this.

Shelley B. in Texas has just been through something so very similar with her own daughter, Carrington, just three short months ago. Carrington is doing wonderfully now! Shelley is coordinating assistance for the Ferrone Family. You can reach Shelley at burmanshelly@yahoo.com to sign up to help in any way you can. There is a ChipIn at Carrington's blog if you want to donate assistance.

Thank you!

The ladybug moved!

We just busted through the first $1000 mark! I'm doing the happy dance! Our little ladybug is moving to bring our ladybugs home! Thank you!

We're here to support each other

Just wanted to take a moment to share a fellow Texas family in Buda who is in the process of adopting Allen. Allen has special needs and orphaned in Eastern Europe. They live not to far from us!

Meet them here at their blog: Four Plus More

They are giving away a $50 Target Gift Card. You can donate or share their blog to receive a chance to win. The giveaway ends tonight, June 26th, at midnight.

SHOP - SAVE - DONATE - SHARE

Did you see that? Our FSP went up by $100 in the last 2 days! Our little ticker on the right is so very close to the first $1000! How awesome it that?!?! Bless you and thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now it's time to announce our first fundraiser!

A very good friend of mine has a mom-preneur business making this really clever baby item called The Little Lasso.  I do some of the sewing for her and I just love the fabrics and colors that she uses. Very stylish for the hippest of kids!  I only wish I had one of these back when my son was tossing his straw cup for miles.  If it was empty, he was throwing it as far as he could!  This Little Lasso would have saved me so much stress keeping up with those cups.

So here's the deal:  SHOP - SAVE - DONATE - All at the same time!!!
Coupon Code: RAINBOW

You will receive a 15% discount on all purchases directly through The Little Lasso website with this coupon code.  AND for each Little Lasso you purchase with this coupon code, Angie will donate $8 to our adoption fund!  Always FREE shipping to the US & Canada. This is an ONGOING coupon code throughout our entire adoption process.

Spread the word and SHARE this Coupon Code with all your friends, family and anyone you know. Share it on FB, Twitter, blogs, email, etc!  There's no limit, no expiration!  When our adoption is fully-funded, Angie and I have talked about continuing this fundraiser coupon to support other Reece's Rainbow waiting children and adopting families. Angie and I are both blessed by having terrific kids with Down syndrome, so the Reece's Rainbow mission is special to both of us.

"Like" and follow The Little Lasso Facebook Page and Angie will share occasional updates on the fundraising progress.  She also shares tips, ideas and other great mom and kid-friendly items she finds through other mom-preneur businesses.

So, shop away!  The Little Lasso makes a great gift for excited, expecting moms and could be the lifesaver needed for a frazzled mom of a toddler or preschooler.  And you will help our family rescue two orphans into a forever home, all at the same time!   How awesome is that?!?!

TTFN (ta-ta for now)!
