Time to Leave for Colder Weather!

OK, when we moved overseas 5 years ago, we spent summertime in one of the hottest places I could think of.... Now with our adoption, we're going to spend wintertime in one of the colder places I can think of... it's not Alaska, but....

Eastern Europe in December.... BRRRRR!

We have our first date to travel and receive our referral to meet out girls... I'm packing my longjohns, boots, coats, gloves, etc.... and we'll get to meet our girls before Christmas!!!!  We'll leave soon!!!!

Giving Thanks!

Giving thanks to the One who has is all under control! Praise God!!!

We heard today that the Country will give out appointment dates tomorrow to families who have submitted their applications and were approved. These dates will begin December 5th.

We were in the first handful of families that missed the cut-off back in October to get an appointment. So guess what?.... We should realistically be in the first handful of families to get our appointments to travel!  That means that we could possibly leave in the next 2 weeks.

My heart is jumping from excitement. My head is spinning from the thoughts of all the stuff I need to accomplish in less than 2 weeks. Oh my word! I'm just thankful that my husband has the next 5 days off work so we can tackle some of this stuff.

Off to run like a crazy woman!

Carrie

The Wait Continues

Just putting up a post to let you know that there's nothing new to report right now. We haven't heard anything official about when things will begin moving again. We are not expecting to hear any news for maybe another 2-4 weeks.

We have done absolutely everything we can do on this side of things. It truly is completely out of our hands and there is nothing we can do personally,  in our own power, to move it along any faster. Well, we can pray, but that's ALL we can do at this point. We just have to wait on the government department to complete the administrative business they need to do for the changeover. We pray that the employees and officials there will be able to complete all the work quickly so many children and families can be together soon.

So, the wait continues... and we continue to pray for the girls - for their health, comfort and safety during this delay.

TTFN,
Carrie
